So far today my budgie sunny has had two eggs. She seems to be in good condition. I have not checked to see if the eggs are fertile or not because I am afraid of disrupting sunny's nesting. Snowy ,the father, is taking good care of her and feeding her and such. If it is true that budgies lay an egg everyother day then today is the day for another egg. So I will keep everyone updated. Farewell

Same here, now that I have 2 females, after I breed Casper & Jasper I might breed Jasper & Passion maybe about this time next year, or breed Passion with one of Casper & Jasper's boys.
Keep us posted on the eggs, and good luck

As far as I know budgies lay their eggs every other day. I would continue to cover the cage it that is what you have been doing all a long. I would not want to change the routine that this time. That is just my thinking.
Good luck, Dotty :)

If I checked the dates correctly, the first egg was laid on the 11th of the month. Then, budgies normally lay an egg every second day. (I noticed you said the 3rd egg came on the 15th.) The first egg should hatch on the 18th day after it is laid and each subsequent egg should hatch 18 days after they are laid. The clutch can range anywhere from three to eight or so eggs. (The fewer the better for the sake of the babies.)
So, if the eggs are fertile, you should have a baby hatching on the 29th of this month. Just 4 days away. Keep us posted.

Keep us posted, I'm excited for you, Casper will go into season again sometime next month, and when she does I can't decide whether to breed her with Jasper or with Loverboy, more then likely it will be with Jasper because she has been with him the longest.
