I have a quaker and it's "normal" size. It's slighly bigger than a cockatiel. Over the past few years, I have seen quakers in pet stores that are bigger than mine by maybe about 25% or so. I thought, no big deal. But, the other day, I saw two quackers at a pet store that's double the size of my quaker! Comparing my quaker to those at the pet store is like comparing a regular budgie to an English budgie. Are they the result of selective breeding? They are huge...same size or even bigger than Blue Crowned Conure!
