I think Budgie has decided to lay eggs again. I suspect this because she is spending her time, rather persistently , investigating hidey holes where I do not want her to go. The paper on the bottom of the cage has been chewed, and she is being a tad more affectionate.

I am so close to buying a male, but with three hens and Budgie very definitely being top of the pecking order, it would be a problem if he didn't like her. He could end up being very hen-pecked. :)

I am still waiting to see if Casper & Jasper are going to do anything. Keeping my fingers crossed, they are both in season, her cere is a very dark brown and Jasper is flirting with her, but I think she is ignoring him :( lol.
