I keep searching the Internet but i can't seem to find a cobalt Blue Budgie, to see exactly how dark the blue is , I just assume it would be the same color blue as the Cobalt blue Glass wear :p

But one site i found used Paint instead of birds to show the different colors, they used paint swirls like, because pictures don't always show the true colors.

well according to the persons paint swirls Tweety would be a Cobalt Blue, But on another site i was told No Tweety is a Blue Pied ( i already knew the pied part because of the research i did , since she's got the band of white across her tummy, and blue on top and below it

but a pic of a actual cobalt blue Budgie would help me out loads :-)
Thank Ya'll tons

thank you , when i Look at mine ( tweety) and look at yours the blue does LOOK alot alike, maybe they told me she isn't considered Cobalt blue, because shes a Pie :S

i'm still in the process of getting a better pic of her, but every one i've taken has made her color look complelty differnt Then it does in person :(

Well she looks like a cobalt dominant pied in your sig....
Is your ''sky'' a sky blue? If she is and tweety is a little darker then i'd assume tweety is a cobalt. She definately doesnt look like a mauve, and theres only three shades of blue. Not that im an expert but theres my opinion lol!

(on the right, not the best pic, but pretty colour accurate!)

No matter what the mutation (pied, spangle, normal, etc) you can always describe the colour in varying shades. ;) So you can have a blue spangle, but it could be skyblue, cobalt, or mauve. :)

Ty for the link, from looking at it and then looking at tweety, i'd say the one that matches her the closest is the very last pic on the link

Tacey - Yep i was told he ( sky) is considered a Sky blue he is more of a Turquoise color
and he's all blue on his front half, i do see some white peaking through
but nothing like tweety's white, where she has the white band going across her belly (makes it look like she's got pants on or something LOL)

And thank you all, I thought tweety was considered a Cobalt blue as well, its the only blue that matched her :D

and there's been times i've looked at her and thought her blue looked purple ( which when i first got her back in may i saw it alot) but the lights in my house isnt all that great, so its not all the time she looks like she's got a purple tinge just some times

but when it comes to tweety getting her pic taken she's a lil pain in the butt and will look away until i move, and she'll do all kinds of cute stuff til i get the cam out then bam she stops -just like a kid lol

Now don't get confused by a violet sky. These birds "look" cobalt, but if you get them in good light you will see a violet sheen across the rump/tail area. Cobalts will not have this. One can NEVER raise violet chicks out of cobalt parents. If one pops up then one the parents is really a violet sky.
