In december my sky passed away, and 3rd august angel went she hadnt been the same since sky died, a few weeks ago i noteced her droppings went from the normal budgie type to a light green mush type, also she had a lump forming around her vent (it looked like she was egg bound) so i took her to the vet and he said its just a normal swelling and theres nothing wrong with her, so i kept a eye on her and nothing seemed to change so i assumed she was fine anyway the day before she died she was very sleepy and looked quite ill i got her out to comfort her and checked her vent area and the skin around it had turned orange so i called the vet and made a appointment for the next day but when i got up it was to late she had already gone any ideas what it could have been?
r.i.p angel your back with sky now xxxx

Well, none of it sounds good. The light green much can be a sign of many things. One that jumps at me would be psittacosis. At this point, I won't really go into any of it, as it makes no sense. I'm really sorry you lost them. Your babies are together in peace again. I know it can be hard on you but all will be ok.
I'm sorry for your loss. That's really sad - but at least Sky and Angel are together again.
I've never heard of "normal swelling" anywhere. What is normal swelling?? How can swelling be normal if she was not ready to lay an egg?

I am very saddened by your post that you have now lost Angel. Her health didn't sound right at all...:(
Please know that I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you. May Angel and Sky meet again and be reunited for eternity.

I have no idea, it has really puzzeld me too, the only thing i can think of, is in december she laid a egg and got a prolapsed cloaca, and mabye there was some under lying infection that the vet didnt see.
