Just have patience. Try coaxing your budgie with some hand held millet spray and talk sweetly and gently. Even sing a lullabye and before long you have a wonderful bond.:budgie:

My guess is that your budgies are biting out of fear. In that case, it is best to give your budgies some more space and spend lots of time with the little fellows without touching them until they have had an opportunity to develop more trust. Patience is key. Debby's suggestion of using the millet is great; most budgies love that stuff! If they really want it, they will come and get it!

I had the exact same problem with Kiko. Ya know how I get him to stop biting? I just played with him alot more. You may play with him alot right now, but make it a daily habit. Just play with him enough to build trust. Its all about trust. give him some space, and spend alot of time with him. In time, he'll trust you.

the millet spray seems to be working she loves it but she only comes near if i cut it into small legnths and hold it in my finger tips so thats massive progress im well chuffed and i have dedicated some extra time to play and sing with both of them thanks xx

I have a keet that bites too, a 9-year-old rescure, Polly. We all leave at around 7:00 and mom and myself get home at about 6:00, and dad (who she loves more than any of us) gets home around 7, so we're gone alot. We try handfeeding her and trying to hand-tame her, but she never gets any better.

Suggestions....?
