well you may know that i took in milo because he was unable to fly, well ive kind of felt awful all week as his sister was in the same position as him :( ( unable to fly ) and she was stuck in a large aviary,so today i went and rehomed her :)

Does anyone know why this happens ? my friend put a pair of budgies together who she hadnt breed from before, she has excellent knowledge of budgies so shes not a novice, but these 2 babies i have havent got there full flight wings :( Is this genetic ? or pure bad luck ?

Hmmmmm. Sometimes when budgies wings are clipped when they are too young and have not had a chance to learn to fly because they have been clipped, that can influence whether or not they will be successful fliers when they are older. When clipped at that critical "learning to fly" period, they may never develop the ability to fly. I am wondering if that is not the case with the two budgies you are talking about......

I know for sure their wings werent clipped, my friend never clips her budgies wings as she has such large aviaries. Im assuming its a gentic, heredity fault ? Ill post some pictures later and you will be able to see how stunted they are.

Hmmm, I saw the pics of your sweeties in another post. Yes, the wings are stunted. Not sure why that would be the case. Like you said, it must be genetic.
