We have some fruit cock tail and I was wondering If I rinse the juice off of it real good, would it be safe to give it to my budgies?

I won't give it often, Just thought I would try it to see if they would accept it. I just boiled an egg and gave them the whites, I cut it up fine and placed it in a bowl, right now they are just looking at it, how long can it stay in there?

I'd say keep in as long as you think it would be okay for you to eat it. That's my rule of thumb with fresh foods; if I wouldn't eat it, then I wouldn't give it to my budgies to eat. For the egg, I would say you could leave it in for about an hour or so, but that will depend on the ambient humidity and temperature. Obviously if both of those are high, then I wouldn't leave the fresh stuff in as long.
As far as offering fruit cocktail, yes it does contain a lot of sugars so I wouldn't offer it very frequently at all. It would be better to offer the freshly cut versions of fruit, but once in a while would be alright.

I am going to rinse as much of the sugar off of the fruit cock tail as I can before giving it to them. They are very picky eaters, so I don't even know if they will even eat it lol. They ahven't even touched the eggs yet.

i keep canned fruit in my earthquake emergency supplies, something is better than nothing.
rinsing off would be fine. it might even be a way to get fussy birds to try something new???? how could they resist it??? just so long as they dont only accept the canned, lol
