Where do the pictures come from in the random thumbs ?

I see a lot of cool random pictures every time I go to talkbudgies . Where do these pictures come from ? I thought posting a picture in the gallery would get it in the selection system, but now I am not sure.

They're from the gallery. :) There are lots of photos in the gallery though, so it can take a long while before you see your photos up there.
