My new budgie, Kyler, started doing crazy tricks the the second day I had him. I was at my computer and watching him in his cage when all of a sudden, he did a back flip off his low perch and onto the cage floor. Since then he's been tumbling on the floor, and flipping off of perches. He even lays on his back, with his legs twisted around on the perch. Then he does a back flip. It's crazy. Today he dove into his food dish and started digging around and kicking seed everywhere! He likes to tumble into it also. :D

OMG!!! He sounds so funny! I've never heard of a budgie doing a back flip before! :D

LOL! Mine did that too! She'd love to go into the top corner of the cage and do these weird back and front flips!:budgie: :)

Hehe ^.^ that is wat my budgie does too sometime ill put my hand there and he will put one foot on my fingers and one on the cage and hell start doing flips its so cute!

He sounds like my new bird Joey...he does a forward flip type thing and lands on the floor with his feet entwined on the cage I look at him and worry he will break his leg but hes so flexible its amazing to watch, hes a very fun budgie.

I haven't seen mine do it in a while but, keebler will actually be on the side of the cage with both feet hanging on and go under between her legs and come up the other side still hanging on to the cage!!! I ask her.."is that your little trick?...well becarefull don't want you to break your legs" their feet are so thin and skinney!!!

my budgie billy hangs on the cage and tucks his head inbetween his legs.is funny to watch but some times his leg dislocates or somin so i have to push it back.

When I had Benny he could turn himself upside down and also do some other acrobatic tricks. :)
