Hey,

I asked this in my other thread but I don't think it is very noticeable there so I'm posting it in a separate thread. Hope no one minds :)

I'm in Canada, and I'm looking for a small playgym for my handfed budgie, preferably under $20-25. Can be online wherever, as long as they ship to Canada. Or I am going on holidays to the US in a couple weeks if anyone has picked up a good one at Petco, etc.?

Thank you :)

I got my playgym at www.amazon.com and it was under $20. The only problem with mine was the picture looked much nicer than the playgym actually looked when it arrived. Since arrival, my boyfriend stepped on it and it broke, but we fixed it temporarily until we can get a new one.

It's really hard to get a good quality playgym unless you spend over $20 or make it yourself, but the budgies don't seem to mind. My budgies love their playgym, even though it isn't all that great.

I know that Petsmart sells cheap playgyms so I would imagine that Petco would as well. Good luck finding your budgie a playgym!! :)

Thats what I have to and my birds really like it. When I get some money coming in then I will get a better one but they really like the one I have. I got a couple of those cat balls you know the little wiffle balls with a bell in it that they sell for kittens. Well I put two of them on the floor of the play gym and my birds really play with them its so fun to watch them enjoying themselves its been hard to get it on film as its up on top of the cage and so I can't get to close or the stop playing. But it is so nice to watch them having a ball LOL.

I'm glad you have bought a play gym. How do your budgies like it? Can't wait to see pictures. :budgie: :budgie:

I posted these in the other thread I had going too, but since this one is about the playgym ;)

I haven't really added anything to it aside from a treat stick and some seed on the bottom. I've bought some other things to add to it later though, one being a slinky, and some hard plastic bangle bracelets. I also found one of those things that come with a hammer and fake wooden nails that kids play with, its kind of like a stand. Oh and I found this wooden puzzle kit, I won't give them the puzzle pieces because they are probably treated with something not good for birds, but the "puzzle frame" looks like the bottom of the bird gym, so I can add on :) Have to love dollar stores.

Looks like alot of fun, but Mystery is probably the only one that will get to use it because the others do *not* like coming out of their cage. (Not tame.) One spoilt little bird lol :)
