Someone is getting comfortable

I had to share this with everyone becuase i am so excited...my little bugger is beginning to get a little personality. He has learned that he can jump all over the cage to avoid me taking him out, but then he finally gives in like "oh fine mom but only if i can sit on your shoulder". He is starting to explore his toys in his cage and is explorings things outside of the cage. But only stuff on my shoulder like my shirt and face. He is also comfortable enough to say no...if i'm giving him too many kisses he will gently nibble my face to say "ok that's enough, this is a warning".

Is it wierd that he only and always wants to be on my shoulder. He will sit on my finger but he just LOVES my shoulder. Is that ok that he's not exploring anything else. He won't go on a table or anything. If i do get him there he just sits and waits for me to pick him up again. If he flys to the ground sometimes he'll walk around but most of the time he runs like a roadrunner back to my finger. :D What do you guys think of this behavior? Don't get me wrong, I love that he loves to be with me :love2:

I think it's great that he trusts momma so much, thats the whole purpose of having a budgie right, to have him trust you with everything. Many people would do anything to have their untamed birds one day give in like that, saves a lot of work and time. He wants attention and seems like he's getting the right kind and right amount of attention.
Keep it up, one day he might tell you he loves you.
