Provide a pan of water about 6 to 8 inches in diameter with a water depth no deeper than 1 inch. It should not be a swimming pool or your bird might drown. An unused plant saucer will do fine. Keep the pan clean because the bird will drink from it as well. The cage will get messy after a bath, so be prepared to do some cleaning. The birdbath below is your best choice.

Budgie eggs are a bit smaller than a fresh cherry (but are more egg shaped of course!)

As far as bringing your sweetie into the bathroom, that is not a problem as long as the toilet seat is down and there aren't any other deeper sources of water (like a sink full for example). To bathe your budgie, you only want to provide very shallow water, say no deeper than the length of their legs (or at least not much deeper). If you are bathing them in a sink, you may wish to consider providing a surface for them to be able to grip the slippery surface. I prefer to bathe my budgies in a budgie bath tub or in a shallow tupperware container.

Hope this helps and good luck!:p

Oh my goodness Smoothy where did you find that picture

I would agree with the others. I would try even a tupperware lid at first if she really isn't sure about the containers. I'm having the same fight with my little budgie right now. He barely drinks water let alone touch it with his feet or any other part of his body. LOL

Well good luck to you and remember it may take some time. :)
