That came out nice. You made it? What type of wood and screws did u use?

the screws are stainless steal, so no rust, and the wood is balsa wood. i spent three hours on it.

I wish I had the skills to make one..I'm still delaying it...I want to make a T stand for Baby and an area for the budgies..not like they don't have enough things to play with already...

i say go for it babyluv12, it was pretty easy. doesn't take much skill. once you get the base going it's just a matter of adding a little perch here, and a lader there.

That looks great! So did you cut the perches to size or just use them at the sizes they came in? And did you use a drill for the screws? I am interested in doing something fun mine have a play gym but it would be nice to build someithing. Just for the satifaction of having made it myself but I am afraid I am not so good with tools. Good job!

i cut the perches myself, no real measurement on anything just winged it. Ha get it "winged it" i just got that. lol. the only drilling i did was for the 6 big pieces, so i can screw them to the top of my old Lego box cover.

ps: all the wood came in 4 foot pieces.

Great playgym! I wish I could make one :)

The wood is balsa wood? Hmm, I hear that balsa wood is really chewable for budgies?

it is balsa, these seemed pretty stiff. so i think its going to work out.

if you need advice let me know.

good to see a long islander.

I hear you, i will keep an eye on him and the playpen for signs of destruction. and i will add more toys for sure.

Now im thinking I'll just build one more to go next to it. it was easy and totally worth it.
