New To Talk Budgies

Hello all my name is Doug i just got 2 budgies from an old lady i knew who went to a new home and can no longer have them. She just purchased them 1 month ago from petco and they are both male other than that i do not know anything about these little birds besides i love them. I took pictures of my favorite unfortunately the one that isnt as friendly has nicer colors. But i have been spending time with both to get them to warm up to me. I included 2 pics of my favorite budgie....who is on my soda right now....guess im not drinking that sorry if the pics didnt come out so good bad camera. ANY NAME SUGGESTIONS WOULD HELP

My dad just approved a 3rd budgie so im gunna go buy one in the next couple of days probably a female since i already have 2 males.

Hey Doug! Welcome to the site. Nice pictures.

Just to warn you, having two males and one female usually isn't a good idea as the males will fight over the female.

As for names, did they have names when you got them?

Hi Doug. Glad you decided to join the forum! Welcome! I certainly agree with Dave; it is probably best not to get a female budgie to add to the mix.

Are the two budgies in the same cage right now and do they get along well? Maybe all they need is each other!

Having 2 males and one female i dont believe will be a problem both males live in seperate cages so the female will live with the blue budgie (the budgie in picture) in the bigger of the 2 cages

and reply to the other question no they did not have names when they were with the lady she was very old and didnt spend any time with them for the month they lived with her. she thought they were not supposed to be held whcih is kinda sad. Since being with me they have become very friendly neither bite and both will jump onto ur finger instantly

His name is now Farva, And my other birds new name is Thorny. These names are from a movie that is why i picked them. If you know the movie these two are team ramrod.

Dont get a female because 2 males are the best combination.

If you get a female then the males will fight over her. Then one of them will be left out and maybe badly hurt, so the outcome... definately don't get a female budgie and i'm not sure about another male, I mean there's no point in getting another one.:)

i want a baby budgie that i picked out even if that means keeping her in a different cage from the 2 males.

Those are nice names. I've never seen the movie, but they are nice unique names. :)
