Omg!!!

The strangest thing happened to me today, I went to Wal-Mart to buy some Millet and a couple more toys for Casper & Jasper and while I was at the check out this elderly lady asked me what type of birds I had, I told her 2 budgies and a parrot, she asked me if i wanted more, i told her I would love to have a few more budgies. She said that she had 2 budgies that her and and her husband are getting too old to care for and she was looking for someone young to take them, she asked me if I wanted them, I asked her for how much, she said nothing, I asked her if there was a cage and she said yes. She was going to go home and talk to her husband about it and is going to call me and let me know if I can have them. Can you beleive it, someone might be giving me 2 budgies and cage for free, they are male & female named Sommy & Cher and she said they are about 2 yrs old. She didnt say what color, I hope she calls and said her husbands agrees.
Keep your fingers crossed, I will let you all know what she says when she calls. I am so excited. :D I may be getting 2 more :budgie: :budgie:

Thanks, but I haven't gotten them yet, still waiting for her to call. It has been 2 hours now, starting to think the worse, but still hoping. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, it has been 4 1/2 hours and nothing, I guess she changed her mind :( , she told me she would call me one way or the other, but I guess not :( . I'll post if she does call. Still hoping she will.

Aww I'm sorry, but don't give up hope! Maybe her husband just said to let him hink about it and get a good night's sleep and he'd decide by the morning. Think positive!

Something like that happened to me too, but not really. I was in the store looking at millet, toys, and their birds. One of the girls that worked there, she came up to me and said I looked confused, I said yeah I am. So she helped me out a little while flirting at the same time. Asked what school i used to go to, which are i lived, etc. To make a long story short, I got her phone number and got myself a date. Im 21 she's 19 --ish but age doesnt matter.

She gives you the birds you have something to gain and if she doesn't you're still not losing anything. Anyway, I hope this is the day it happens.

Budgiekin. I think it was Thursday that I asked her out and we went out on the weekends. My problem is I cant seem to stay with same girl too long.

Well, she just called, and said her and her husband decided to hold onto them a little longer. She said if they change their minds they will keep me in mind. So it looks like I won't be getting Sonny & Cher. :( Guess it was toooooooooo good to be true.

I have some spare money and want to go buy another female, and hubby is being a butthole and is saying No, we don't need anymore animals, he said I could have Sonny & Cher and now he won't let me go buy one.

Awwwww! I am so sorry to hear that. What's the difference between taking those two budgies and going out and buying your own? The bottom line is that you have more budgies. Hmph...

Thats what I told him, he said the 2 I have make a big enough mess, I told him he doesn't clean it I do. Plus he said it wouldn't be fair to Casper & Jasper if I brought "an intruder" into their cage.
I think he is just a little ticked off cause our oldest son, got home from school, fixed some steak ums, and left the greasy pan in the sink, left the exhaust fan on over the stove, which is a big no no, and went to work, leaving us to clean up his mess. The kid is 18, he is old enough to clean up behind himself and he knows it, oh his butt is mine when he gets home from work.
I'm going to work on him again ina couple of days, let him simmer down some, plus if the lady calls me back about Sonny & Cher, I'm getting them, I don't give a flying flip what he says, cause he already said I could have them.
