my budgies have lived in my big living room for a year now and in the same cage in the same area, they are let out of the cage to roam freely about an hour everyday, they never go out of the room (if they do they go about 2 ft and fly right back) now the like to be with 1 another if i hold 1 about 10 ft away from the other, itll fly right over to me to be with the 1 i am holding. i want to bond with them 1 on 1 and only way to do that is to bring them to another room, but when either 1 of them get close to the exit they fly back to the locked cage (to keep the other from flying out) i dont know what to do, if i do it in the same room then they will both constantly call each other to see where they are and the 1 i am holding will fly back to the cage to be with the other. they are very attached to each other. if i play with them i have to play with both or none at all. any suggestions
