Well i've gotten 2 more new budgies and I was wondering if the cage should be beside the other?, im seperating them because one of my budgies is stressed out. Do I put the cage away from the other or can I put it beside my other cage..

Thanks

It really depends on the mood of your birds. If they do ok beside each other in their seperate cages, then it is good, this way they can get to know each other without the fear of the other one. If they still are stressed, then move them away from each other until they get used to their own cages and surroundings, then try them beside each other later on . It just takes time. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for your advice swishmom98, I recently took one of my budgies to the vet and he said it was stressed out and needs to be seperated from the others. So is having him in a cage beside the other cage a good idea or do they need to be in different rooms.

Thanks

BOTH your new budgies should be separated from your old budgies in a separate room for at least 30 days. This is called quarantine and is essential to make sure all birds are in top health and there wont be any disease spread.

Stressed out seems like an odd diagnosis. But definitely keep the stressed out little fellow away from the others. If put in another room he/she might feel more at ease and adjust to the others by listening first. Do you have any idea why your budgie is stressed out? How is it acting?

I would differently separate them and separate room for at least 30 days.
