I was searching for playgyms on the internet, bored. And look at these play gyms!! They are amazing! I really want one, but the price is rather large for now... But still! Any bird would be in heaven with one of these! Or a whole flock! People with huge flocks could have one nice playgym.... Maybe someday for me...

It doesn't include the toys though. You have to get those seperate. Only downfall.

Otherwise, any budgie would be in heaven with that. Or any bird for that manner.

Hey, but then you'd only need one gym for all of your flock! Lol. Heheheh. I want one for my Conure, and my budgies...

Wow!! Banana and Peaches would go crazy for a playgym like that!! They are in need of a new one since my boyfriend accidentally stepped on ours and broke the side when I was cleaning the cage. If I had a spare $300, I'd get one!!

There's only about $20 worth of material in those and you can build them with basic tools, pretty much just a dremel and a hand saw miter box. I've been slowly making a massive gym using bamboo, although I wouldn't suggest using bamboo unless you had more tools and experience building (it cracks easily when drill/cutting) I'd never spend $300 on something like that, its much more fun to make your own.
I don't think mine would go near them - big scary things those gyms. :P I have a much smaller gym which all mine play happily one. :D

We built our birds a cool gym of their own by weighting down a plastic shoe box with bricks. we got sticks from our back yard and put them in the brick holes by propping them in. then we added bells, swings, toys, mirrors, and clothespins[they use these for steps]. it is great and the babies love it!:budgie: :budgie:

I just go to the local craft stores and buy their dried stuff, about $5 for an assortment of thicknesses in 5ft lengths. Get the non-dyed ones, I don't know if the dye is harmful, but even if it isn't dried bamboo chips when you cut and drill it so you'd have to color it yourself anyways. If you can get fresh bamboo that's supposed to be better to work with, but I've never seen any in the frozen north.

My budgies would LOVE those play gyms!! They are quite the little explorers. Peaches would be climbing everywhere, whether it be upside down or just flying from location to location, and Banana would be ringing all the bells and praising all the swings and little nitches with love.
I think it would be worth the money if you ask me! It's definitely one of those things that might be an appealing Christmas present for budgies. Especially for those of us that just don't have the extra time to construct and make their own play gym.
