I'm absolutely devastated. My lovely Quaker Parrot, YMA, managed to somehow get out the back door when my wife was coming in. (Her wings were clipped to prevent flying.) Both of our Westies were right there when she got out and poor Yma never knew what hit her. By the time we got to the dog, who had her in his mouth, YMA was already dead. It all happened in an instant. My poor little YMA. And we had always been so very careful to have the dogs outside before we would let her out of her cage.
I'm so terribly upset now that I'm having trouble even typing this. It may be a while before I'm back online, all.
She was such a love and brought us so much joy. May she rest in peace.
Very sadly..............
