Remembering Swarovski

Today swarovski got suddenly ill. He was acting funny and seemed to be dying. It happened within a span of 5 hours or so. I just found him passed in his cage and I am really heart broken. I haven't had him that long, but I hate to see such a good animal and pet go. Please watch these videos as a memorial to him

I don't even know what to do with the body right now. I don't even know if I want to get another budgie now either. I don't know what I did.

I am so sorry to hear that Swarovski passed away. :( It's so terrible when a good friend goes. I watched both videos and enjoyed his happiness and peace with you, I can tell he really did care for you.

Darn, 2nd video brought a tear to this old man's eyes. First videos was cute and funny, 2nd video was sad as we knew he had passed, hes was so cutie.
So sorry to hear about Swarovski. RIP Swarovski.
Our bobo died last year and we buryed him in the front flower bed with a birdie headstone.

Thanks you guys. It means a lot to hear such kind words. This all happened so fast that I don't even want to believe it happened. I guess he is on to a better place and I gave him a darn good life while it lasted. My fiance and I were thinking about separating Kiwi and Marina and each taking one and have them be in separate cages. But I was thinking as I cleaned the cage last night and I think I will just get another one. I will make Swarovski happy by giving another budgie a good home.

Oh I'm soo sorry to hear about this!! :( He was a beautiful budgie and I know his memory will live on for you throughout your life. He's in a happier place where he can look down on you and tweet and fly with all of his budgie buddies! RIP Swarovski, you will be deeply missed and loved forever.

I'm so sorry to hear about your birdie. We will always remember our loved ones.

I am sad today also. I lost my beloved "Katie". She is the one I posted about in the Galary, under Katie and Fred. she passed on last night. Today I walked in there and the other birds had taken all her eggs( the ones I posted on the galary also as my third clutch). and broke everyone of them. My biggest mistake was to allow them to breed with all the rest of the aviary birds in the same cage. I am so upset that I want to get rid of most of my aviary and just have about four altogether. does anyone here in Indianapolis, want some birds asap. I am serious about this. I have to do this. I can't go through another heartache like this. I didn't just lose one bird, I lost her and her clutch. That is 7 altogether. :(

I am so sorry about your loss of Swarovski. He was a beautiful Budgie and looked so graceful and sweet. Thank you for sharing the wonderful photos so that we could enjoy him. He had a beautiful blue spot on his back didn't he? He looks like he was one of a kind. My heart hurts for you. :(

Hi Everyone,

We are going to have our funeral for our "Katie. I wrote out a beautiful Eulogy today. My husband and I are going to put her in our back yard with the others that has passed on and say some words and pass her on to God and her brothers and Sisters. May Katie and her unborn chicks along with Swarovski live in peace and heavenly happiness. They will always have a place in our hearts.

Gosh, it is amazing how a little winged creature can become a family member. It was amazing to watch him learn to grow and play with us. Maybe the reason Swarovski was taken from you soo soon was because God had greater plans for him. Maybe he was meant to fly high on Rainbow Bridge and offer inspiration for other budgie owners who has lost a member of their flock as well. I know he is flying high and happy looking down on you, offering you comfort for his loss in your dreams and spirits.

I agree with you about how incredible it is that a little budgie could become a member of the family, just like your own child. Even though Swarovski has passed away into a better life, his memory will remain with you until the end of time. Your experiences with him will help you better bond with any other budgie you might add to the family in the future.

Best of luck to you both and I hope that the pain eases with time. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong, because that's what Swarovski would have wanted. :)

Thank you everybody for you kindness and support. It was really sad to see Swarovski go, but now I know he is up there looking down at me with all the other budgies that have passed. My new budgie is doing great and I have started clicker training with it already. We had a bit of a scare when the cat knocked its cage down, but I ordered a new cage the should be able to be knocked down by the cat. But Butters did get a bruise on his cere (I took him to the vet, he is fine).

But I have to say- he was really adorable!!!! And I really love that name. But know that even though he's gone, he's up there somewhere, and he'll always have a special place in your heart. RIP Swarovski!!!! :crying2:
