Will this affect him??

So I've had Pidgey since saturday and so far things are great. He gets a little skittish and defensive at times, biting, but never too hard. He perches on me and is OBSESSED with my shoulder and hair. Now my question is, next week, I will be gone from Wednesday till Friday (wednesay early morning until friday afternoon)

Since I'll only have had him for a week and a half at that point, will this three day absense affect him and make him at all more or less tame than he is now? I want my mom to handle him a loy when I'm gone, but I'm also afraid of him getting attached to her in those three days, as he has only been 4 days with me and is already getting attached to me :(.
