Blinkie has issues!

Well Blinkie has suprised me tonight. For about a month Blinkie's been MATING with his rope perch, he grabs hold of the bell on the bottom of his olympic rings and just goes crazy....so today i finally decide to change his cage around so that the bell isn't above his rope perch but rather his cholla perch, i was CERTAIN that this would put an end to his odd sexual obsession however tonight i have caught him abusing the poor innocent cholla perch as well!!:rolleyes: I guess you just can't beat a males natural urges.:p

Hi Bea! I know exactly what you are talking about! In fact, it's my girl Skyla who is the horny one. I would sometimes catch her rubbing herself on her pellet cup. Sometimes she would do it two or three times a day! I just tell her it's okay to explore her sexuality and not to worry; it's healthy to have urges!

Jiblet used to do that to one of the plastic perches in the old cage. He'd do it all the time (while looking at himself in the mirror). Our parrotlet Sam does this with his ladder.

That's hilarious Bea! Although, I have to admit that budgies do need to be careful when they adopt this behaviour. They can potentially bruise themselves if they do it too frequently or too vigorously.

Hahah! Thats funny, Bea! My birds *fortunetly* dont uh...RUB up against anything. Allthough, my Stepstisters old bird used to. Her name was lime and she was a parralette.(Is that how you spell it?) and she bit like heck! She was cute, though ^.^:
