As many you know, Bert is my late budgie. Over the 3 years i owned him, we became very close. I loved him more than anything, and i made sure he knew it! He was gorgeous! He had a blue breast with a white cloud running through it, lovley white wings and gorgeous little eyes. Green was a very lucky lady! I felt as though Bert loved me too. (Hopefully!) He was always on my shoulder and would spend most of his time with me.
On October the 7th, Bert was killed in a tragic accident. He was trodden on by a member of my family (Not me.) He was killed instantly and i remember holding him wrapped in tissue. He was bleeding all down one side of his body. The next couples of days were hard for me, i could'nt believe he had gone and i still can't to be honest. :( :( :( :( :( :(
I wanted to post this in memory of him and i want him to know i still love him more than anything.

Yeah, crushed all of his bones and organs instantly :( . I try not to think about to much. This member of my family thought it was the tv remote that they were standing on.

That is such a sad story. :( That must have been such a sad sight. I don't know what I would have done if that happened to one of my budgies. Sorry to hear about him.

I am so sorry to hear about that tragic accident. What a horrible thing to have to go through! ((HUGS)) I am glad you posted to the forum to pay a tribute to your little sweetie. They play such a huge role in our lives and it is so sad to see them go, particularly under such circumstances. Fly high sweet little Bert.

I just lost my dearest Opal a few weeks ago, not by tragic accident, but long illness. However, I feel your pain, I know how much it hurts inside knowing you'll never see them again. But although the end was painful, just keep the memory of him alive, and remember that he gave you joy, and you gave him all the love you had. He lived a wonderful life I'm sure, and he'll never feel pain again. We'll never forget our beautiful babies.
