Sleeping on the cage side?!?!

Just yesterday I discovered that when I put on Kiwi and Skys night cover they cling to the side of the cage wall...when i put my hand in and try to take them off they dont come off...like they want to stay there. They didnt always do this they just started now. I dunno if its a new thing they made-up to go to sleep at night or sumthin...is this normal for budgies?? Do some sleep hanging on the side of the cage like that?:S

Very normal. Some of mine preffer sleeping upsidedown or on the side of the cage. Maui and Sky esspecially.

Mine like to do that also. Sometimes either Banana or Peaches will be on the perch mirror and the other will have one foot on top of the perch mirror and the other on the side of the cage. I never understood why they would want to sleep like that because it looks soo uncomfortible!

Nice to see my guys are normal.
I bought them each a swing and they sleep on those now instead.

Everytime there's a hot summer night, mine will go to the side to sleep. It looks odd... but they seem happy about it.
