I was just wondering can you breed a tame bird because I have heard that you can but,the birds are just agressive towards you becaus ethey are protecting thier nest not because of becoming un tame?:S

You can but there's a good chance that with the distraction of being a parent it'll lose some of it's tameness.

Possibly so. If your pet is a good pet, I wouldn't risk trying to breed it. Two factors here.

1.) It will decide it likes its mate more than it likes you and will quit talking and responding to you.

2.) If it has bonded closely to you, it may not even like the mate you choose for it and/or may be aggressive towards the new bird. Either case seems to rule out trying to breed a tame pet.

Now, you CAN breed tame cockatiels. As far as I know, the tiel is the only hook bill that you can breed when it is tame. I've been successful at this but, in all honesty, I've never attempted to breed a tame budgie. Didn't want to risk it.
