Ok well I've had Chipper for about 3 weeks now, i really want him to begin eating vegetables and some pellets. So i've tried vegetables first, he wont touch them, not even a taste. He completely refuses anything but seeds, although i did get him to taste a little bit of smashed banana, but that was it. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any ideas of what vegetables to begin with, or what you have had the most success with. Ive been putting celery leaves and broccoli in there daily, but nothing yet.

Mine adore lettuce, spinach, corn and pomegranate. Also big fans of dandelions, clover and alfalfa (yay farm country!). They don't like most fruit if it's raw, but if it's been dehydrated then they'll eat it (apples, cherries, raspberries and blueberries) Green and leafy is always a hit around here, but to make it most enticing I soak it in water before I offer it. I also offer their fruits and veg in the same bowls that they get their nightly seed snacks in, that way they don't need to wonder if it is food or not.

Boy will eat absolutely anything but parsley!! Just attach it to the side of his cage and leave it, that's what I did and now Boy knows that that place on his cage is for goodies!!

...do we really all have budgies? How can they be so different? Mine won't touch any fruits or vegetables. Except, now after 2 years, they will eat some red or green lettuce. I am trying to hide stuff in their seeds, but they will eat around it or look on the carpet for leftovers:p
I will keep trying,

You have to keep trying. Some birds can take a long time to eat veggies. 2 weeks is not very long.
The older the bird the longer it can take. Try different stuff. Mine took to broccoli very quickly as long as I hang it on the side of the cage like I do their once a week millet.
I also cover veggies/fruits in seed mix. That way they might accidentally get a taste and find they like it. Try eating in front of them. Then when they seem really really interested offer your food too them. Be sure you have something healthy on your plate to offer them.
Don't give up your bird well be much more healthy if you add fresh fruit and veggies to their diet. Be consistent offer it ever single day.
My budgies love capsicum, if I put it on their cage on night, they're all orange around the beak next morning. They like cucumber too, in fact, I think they like everything that's green and edible. I'm gonna try broccolli soon, I didn't have it, but now I have broccolli, so I'm gonna try...
