How to use vinegar in cage cleaning (HELP)

Hey, I need help... I was wondering how to use vinegar to clean your bird's cage... I need info quick since I have to clean it tomorrow... I need to know what to do and what kind of vinegar to use and all that stuff.... thanks

Any vinegar is fine but I like to use apple cider-it's also good to put a drop in their water once a week. Anyways- the way I do it get a NEW (NEVER USED) spray bottle and fill half with warm/hot water and half with vinegar- it last me pretty long and I also use it for cleaning in the house. Ants hate it too for any of you that have any ant problems. Just spray on a cloth, paper towel or brush (never used except for the birds). Glad you decided to use it! And trust me- the smell goes away as soon as it dries.

so you spray it on the cloth and just wipe the cage and wait for it to dry?

what about the poop stains on the bottom, if they don't come off then what do you do?

also, can you use this to clean perches and toys too?

Yup- cage, perches, toys etc. Acctually I use a brush with real hard bristles for the grate and perches to remove the poop. It works wonders. Vinegar cleans and disinfects also. Here is a pic of it. No need to really let it dry because the birds don't mind it and it's good for them anyway.

o thanks! but can I use the spray bottle I use to bath my bird to clean my cage? When I clean my cage, I could empty the bottle and put half water and half vinegar.. Then when I'm done I can clean it out and put regular water back in, will it work?

Yea-that's fine- the only reason I said a new brush and a new spray bottle is because I had someone once use a spray bottle that use to have windex in it...
