When we first got Green, we went out for the day. When we arrived home, she was no where to be seen  . Everyone panicked, especially me! We checked every where for her (even the toilet). But we could'nt find her :( .
And guess where she was? Down the back of our bookcase! Green's cage was located right next the bookcase, and as she is a proper girl, she had spotted a sparkly piece of paper. Knowing Green, she would'nt leave it alone and decided to go and get it her self!!! She was fine afterwards. She scared me soooooooo much, i thought we had lost her!!! Have any of your budgies scared you like this???

OMG YES I have had my budgies scare me like that!! I remember having the budgies out for playtime and Skyla had decided to take off. She flew so fast that I didn't see where she went. We looked everywhere....then we found her upstairs on the second floor of the house in the computer room. I was like, gee Skyla, what is so exciting about this room? Thankfully she cooperated with us when we found her and brought her back downstairs to join her budgie buds. :p

My Patty escaped from her cage by pulling her food dish off! The cage has always been set up the same way, but one day she decided that she wanted out! We looked everywhere for her, and could not find her. I thought maybe my little dog had done away with her. However, I found her 4 hours later on the main floor enjoying the view out my dining room window! She had perched herself high up on my buffet, but was only too happy to placed back in the safety of her cage!
Silly birdies...

The very first time your budgie flies around the house, is quite scary. I never know where they are gonna land!!! :p

Oh yes! Once, Dusty and Misty had their first fly in the living room and it went mad! Let me tell you....
I got them out of their cage and they flew around a lot, then they both went behind the radiator! Dusty got out, but Misty got stuck! My Mum shooed her out.
Dusty went under the table and Misty went behind the TV, it was on and there are wires behind!
I thought she was dead because the TV suddenly turned off and there was no more flapping.
I was shouting at my Dad to get her because I couldn't reach her!
He ran over and moved the TV and grabbed her, she was alive and she had chewed through the wire!
When my Dad ran to pop her back in the cage she kept on biting him really hard!
I caught Dusty easily because he was hand tame.
So that's what happened! Lol, it was terrifying!

How funny!
Around christmas eve last year, my older budgie Sunny(whom died) was flying around the living room. The christmas tree was in there. Well, we were about to eat so my mom told me to put him back in his cage. I agreed, and couldn't find him. You should have seen me panicking. I immediatly thought he had escaped out the window and there was a blizzard! I was so scared and knew if he had gotten out you just know he wouldn't survive. I told my dad and in a short time we found Sunny snuggled in the christmas tree. It was so adorable. He was asleep.:p

Lol! When Green was younger, she loved sitting in the Christmas Tree playing with the bells! She would snuggle up and go to sleep aswell, it was so cute! :)

ohhh yeah, one of my previous budgies, Echo, was a total escape artist! I don't know how but he could fit through bars which were less than 1.5 cm wide and fly around everywhere! haha, we nicknamed him Houdini.
And I have so many stories of escaped budgies. A month ago I came in...and couldn't find Opal anywhere. And where was she finally? I heard a chirp and there she was...sitting underneath my desk...
On the wire garbage can!! :P
ohhhhhh Opal, we had good times. I miss her.
