Having two keets when I was very young was fun but I never interacted with them much. I recently decided I needed a new companion and went and got Perry. We got along right from the start and now after about five weeks enjoy naps together among other adventures. He has found a second home in the hood of my old sweatshirt (he has a good view from there when I am wearing it around the house) and likes to drink water from my finger. Such a treat!

The most enjoyable moment came when today he was sitting on my shoulder and started to scratch his head. He let me rub is head and neck and then rested his head against my nose and just shut his eyes and made that purring noise. We sat there for about a minute or two. I guess you could call it keet cuddling!

That was a very nice story, it really seems that Perry and you are quite bonded closely. :)

I love all of my budgies and they are all very close to my heart but one of them stands out like a bright light and that's Shiloh. He's much more interested with humans than he is with budgies. He was my first budgie ever and just a joy to have around. He's with all 24/7 around the house, he almost forgets he's a budgie sometimes. :)
